# DigitEMB Network: terms of use, DRAFT for a lawyer (2 Oct 2026)

**Not legal advice and not for publishing.** A starting text so the lawyer has something concrete. Everything in [brackets] is an open point.

1. **Who may join.** The Network is for textile businesses: embroidery, screen printing, transfers and DTF, patches, uniforms and apparel decoration, and their suppliers. Customers of DigitEMB with an order may join. Others need approval. We may refuse or end membership, especially for businesses that offer digitizing as a service in competition with DigitEMB [owner rule]. You must give your real name and business. No anonymous posting.

2. **Your profile is private until you switch it on.** You choose, field by field, what other members can see. You can switch each one off again at any time.

3. **Your content stays yours.** You keep ownership of your photos, logos and text. You give DigitEMB a non-exclusive licence to store and show them to other members inside the Network, for as long as you are a member plus [30] days to remove copies [lawyer: public showcase pages need a separate, explicit consent later]. We do not sell your content and do not use it in advertising without your written permission.

4. **Your promise about content.** You post only work you made or have permission to show. No customer names, no private details of other people, no logos or artwork you have no right to use [team, league, military, police, scout and brand marks]. Photos have location data removed on upload.

5. **Copyright complaints.** Our designated contact for takedown notices is [name, address, email, as registered with the US Copyright Office]. We remove content when we get a valid notice, tell the member, accept a counter-notice, and end the accounts of repeat infringers.

6. **What is not allowed.** Spam, selling that sends members away from the Network, fake or paid reviews, harassment, illegal content, adult content, anything that endangers children, sharing another member's contact details without their agreement.

7. **Opportunities and deals.** The Network introduces members. Deals, prices, quality, payment and delivery are between the members. DigitEMB is not a party, does not hold money and does not guarantee anyone's work [lawyer: wording that matches US law; consider a short limitation of liability].

8. **Ratings.** A member may rate another only after a real job between the two. We remove ratings that look fake, paid or retaliatory.

9. **How we moderate.** The host and DigitEMB staff review reports and may remove content or suspend a member, with a reason. Automatic checks may flag content; a person decides.

10. **Leaving.** You can leave at any time. Your profile and photos are deleted within [30] days. We keep a record of actions needed for safety and legal reasons.

11. **Privacy.** Short privacy notice: what we collect (account link, profile fields, photos, activity), why, who sees it, how long, how to see or delete it, [CCPA wording for California members], contact address.
